Hinted White Lockscreen

Due to the limitations of the theme chooser lockscreens cannot be themed, so either metamorphs or zipthemer files need to be made.

Base on XDA Member sykomaniac’s work I’ve made a few more additions to the theme by modifying the rotary and lense backgrounds.

These are to compliment the White JAMT themes which are available on the market, but are not a requirement.

Instructions

  1. Install ZipThemer (consider donating for this wonderful tool)
  2. Download the zipped file
  3. Open ZipThemer and press “+Theme”
  4. Locate the downloaded file
  5. Press “Build It!”
  6. Create undo file
  7. Flash outputted file via recovery or RomManager
  8. Enjoy

Other Info

This is only for HDPI devices and works best with CyanogenMod 7, however it should work ok with other roms. If there is some demand for a MDPI version please let me know in the comments below.

      Definitely do that! There are a lot of MDPI devices out there, which would love to be themed. All the newer-faster-better-phones get their respective UIs(Sense, Motoblur, TouchWiz), so they don’t really need themes, you better support the poor :D

    Umm…. well it puts the Hinted-Whiteupdate.zip (something like that) file as well as the undo file in my SDcard,then I flash through Rom Manager’s “Flash a rom” (running newest clockwork). It’ll finish, but for some reason. No go on the lock screen. I dunno if ziptheme is flashing correctly.

      Try rebooting into recovery and then flashing, you should get a result that way. If you are running the latest CWM it might be worth setting up Edify in Zipthemer. (menu > update edify).

    I did the edify update and flashed through recovery, the Lense looks best IMO.
    It’d be awesome if in the next update or if you ever work on theme chooser JAMT (donater version) if you could skin some apps, that’d be great. Though can you?

    All this seems to do is create disaster for CM7 on the Droid X, and i’m not sure why… this should work just fine. When I switched to Lense, I had floating text and a white bar at the top of the screen. When I switched to Sliding Tab, the whole phone crashed and now won’t boot.
