JAMT – Theme Chooser

Thanks to T-Mobile’s new theme engine and some helpful types at XDA-Developers I’ve started to porting my themes to use the theme engine present in new CM7 builds.
What’s not working (Theme manager limitations)-
- Lockscreens – these cannot be themed with the current implementation of the Theme Chooser
- The carrier name present when the notification shade is pulled down cannot have its colour changed.
What’s Working
- Most text colours (AFAIK this is the first theme to feature a white status bar)
- Smooth loading spinners
- 100 step charging with battery percentage
What I intend to fix
- Red underlay for notification overflow – needs to be black
- When selected or pressed the notification items look ugly
- Other app notification icons
If you have any feedback or suggestions please let me know with a comment!

PPS. Depending on how this evolves I will be releasing these themes to the market for support.

Are you still working on a design of your themes for Oxygen? The latest version doesn’t contain T-Mobile theme engine and I doubt that it ever will, so you would have to do the themes the old fashioned way :S
It says that the theme has an error with the compilation…
Try clicking apply anyway, it should work. The error is only to do with the screen preview I think. It should still work.

Edit-looking into a fix now….
There’s no way to click on “apply anyway” as the button isn’t there…
Maybe you should try to recompile it and share it again…
Thanks anyway for your work !
Yeah there was an error in the way it was compiled. Please test the updated version.

Can we get a dark version as well? Granted it’ll look like stock gingerbread but i prefer your icons.
Yeah there is one on the market ATM.
Check it out here.

What launcher is used in the screenshot?
I’m using LauncherPro Plus, details are here

Thanks
Hey, man. Is there any chance you could add a drawable-hdpi-v9 to the theme? There’s an app I want to be able to do custom icons for(WidgetLocker), and I tried seeing what would happen if I just added one myself and that didn’t work out too well.
It actually shouldn’t matter, AFAIK drawable-hdpi-v9 is just the priority drawable given to SDKv9 on HPDI devices. You should be able to redirect is to a drawable in
/drawable-hdpior even/drawable. I think I’ll add the WidgetLocker logo to the next update, I noticed it appearing on your screenshots here.As I side note, I may eventually theme facebook (it takes me a while to get around to these things
) but I think it would override any changes made through a modified apk. Should I have 2 versions of the theme going? One with only status-bar icons and one more heavily themed? Just throwing out ideas…

You’ve lost me a little bit with all of the code names:) Haha. But, you’re saying I can just take the icon in WL and put it in the drawable folder, then mod the theme and add the custom icon in the drawable folder and it will work? Oh, you saw those? Haha
I have an issue though, if you mod WL, it won’t. Therefore I can’t move the icon into the drawable folder. Kevin has it set up so that if it gets modded, it will take you to the market when you try to open so that he can slow down piracy and stop bug reports from pirated apps. That’s why I’m hoping adding the custom icon into the theme, it will work. Because if I add it to WL, it stops working. Hopefully that makes sense.
That’d be great. I’d love to see a modded version of Facebook with JAMT. I think you should do both. That way people can choose. And I can still add my icons to the modded version and what not:)
I meant it won’t work. Sorry so long
Ok, forget the codes…Understandable step by Kevin to stop piracy.
I haven’t tried it but I think it could be modded using the theme engine. Have you used it at all?
your new icon would be /drawable-hdpi/com_teslacoilsw_widgetlocker_notification_icon.png.
You can try decompiling my JAMT theme and inserting those files in but I think you might run into some issues (guide is here). Or you can wait until I get around to making a JAMT style icon.
Long winded but it should work.
EDIT – Code didn’t paste properly….
Yeah, looks like I’ll be waiting.
I’m not familiar with .xml’s and I was about to try to create one until I read up on how to do it. Thanks for the help! And I’m excited for the update haha. Thanks, again.
Wait no longer! Check the market!
Thank you! I’m updating now. I knew you updated it but I was thinking it was things you already had going, I didn’t think you’d add it in this time. Thanks, again!
Would it be possible to add the free version battery icons into the donate since CM7 has an option to use the percentage ones already? I prefer the icons in the free version much better.

Keep these articles coming as they\’ve opeend many new doors for me.
Hi there ClassicalGas,
Great work, I’m really in-love with this theme.
Would you be able to share your setup in your screenshot? The dotted wallpaper.
Is that suppose to be another variation of your scrolling wallpaper concept?
